Rodney Mack aka Ro Mack was an actor, Mt. Vernon, NY Firefighter and artist. He passed away on July 14, 2014 after a valiant battle with brain cancer. He got his acting break in 2010 when he auditioned for the leading role of Jazz Johnson in the feature film Payin' The Price. Ro Mack was handpicked by Director Jordan Coleman and Cinematographer Demond Ford. As a result of Ro's extraordinary acting talent, the film won several awards and Ro Mack was cast in several film projects.
He attended Mt. Vernon High School and Nelson Mandela High School. He was an outstanding athlete, loving son of Rodney Mack Sr. and Peaches Mack; amazing brother of Candice, Jordan, Jasmine and Ashley, the proud father of 4-year-old Zai-Lee Brooke Mack and loving partner of Elisha Danvers (Zai-Lee's mom).
Ro Mack was our hero; his infectious personality, kindness and zest for life is etched in our hearts forever. Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten.
CHRISENA COLEMAN is an award-winning journalist, filmmaker, screenwriter, and best-selling author. Along with her sons, Chrisena has created Jordan Coleman Films; the company develops and creates projects for film and TV. Jordan Coleman Films has created Say It Loud and Payin’ The Price films.
She was a staff writer at the New York Daily News for nearly two decades covering breaking news, entertainment and crime. She continues to freelance. Chrisena is the author of two books, Mama Knows Best and Just Between Girlfriends, both published by Simon & Schuster. She used her Just Between Girlfriends book as a platform to launch the Just Between Girlfriends national networking organization to promote friendship, philanthropy and fun among women.
Chrisena is currently writing a parenting book tentatively entitled “Mama Don’t Play” which is also the name of her production company. She is frequently invited to speak to parent groups, women’s organizations and conferences about parenting, her career and women’s issues. Chrisena is also the founder of the Hackensack High School Top 20 African-American Scholars Celebration, which honors seniors for academic excellence.
She is featured on Lifetime TV’s Real Women, Real Stories bios and has appeared on several TV shows for her books, work as a journalist and her Just Between Girlfriends network. She is the recipient of numerous awards and commendations for her work as a journalist and for community service.
“I have had many titles in my life, but the greatest title of all is being called Mom,” Chrisena says. “There is no greater love.”
When Jordan needed money to fund his first feature film, Chrisena handed over her 401K and didn’t blink an eye. People still question her sanity for making such a bold financial investment in a minor, but she quickly shoots back “if I don’t believe in my sons’ dreams nobody else will!”
JUSTIN COLEMAN is 14-year-old who is already making moves and movies. He’s a filmmaker, actor, honor roll student, athlete and one of the creative forces behind Jordan Coleman Films. Justin is in the process of writing his first book The Shadow.
Justin has been instrumental in the making of SAY IT LOUD and PAYIN’ THE PRICE films. In addition to acting in both films, assisting with casting, scripts and working behind the scenes, Justin also created the titles and taglines for these films.
He works closely with the Jordan Coleman Films’ marketing team to get the word out about projects and he assists with the social media efforts. Justin is the consummate promoter and is not shy when it comes to telling people about our films, screenings and upcoming projects.
Justin is the recipient of the President’s Award for Academic Excellence (Barack Obama) and he has received recognition for obtaining perfect scores on standardized tests. He is an honor roll student who has a love for learning. Justin was accepted attended the prestigious STEM Program at Brown University.
He is currently working on a script for a short film on bullying tentatively entitled NOT ME! He is also working on a second book The World According To Justin, which features his commentary on pop culture.
Justin was featured as a child model in the pages of the New York Daily News. He also appeared in two commercials for Nickelodeon. Justin is a member of the Hackensack Comets Football Team.
When Justin is not working, he enjoys playing video games, cleaning his sneakers, riding his bicycle, swimming, watching movies and hanging out with is friends.
