In Production

This documentary takes a look at the Trayvon Martin story through the eyes of young African-American men. For Filmmaker Jordan Coleman the not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case was disappointing, frustrating and appalling. It was also typical for the criminal justice system in America.

Payin’ The Price is a gripping movie that chronicles the story of 17-year-old Jazz Johnson. Jazz’s privileged life is turned upside down when a beautiful young girl from the "wrong" side of the tracks accuses him of brutally assaulting her. The proverbial golden child becomes the poster boy for teen dating violence. Payin’ The Price film follows Jazz Johnson’s arrest and trial as it weaves between flashbacks of fellow classmates, friends, family members and school officials.

Say It Loud movie was created by youth filmmaker Jordan Coleman to explore the importance of education for African-American boys who lag behind their peers when it comes to success in the classroom. When Jordan was in 7th grade, he noticed that many African-American boys at his school were not taking their education seriously. Instead, they dreamed of becoming a professional athlete or a rapper. Jordan's vision to create the film has turned into a national movement. Students of all races and genders have embraced Say It Loud and decided to stand up for education. His "School Is Cool" message took on a life of its own; it was not limited to African-American boys, it became universal.
